About The Event

Join other leaders of GUMC in uncovering the future. A weekend of leadership growth, dynamic worship, and intentional spiritual growth. How can we use our gifts for a common mission? What's God's call in my life? How can God use me? How can we be relevant in our changing community? Let's uncover these questions and more together.

Cost:

$55.00 (meals, rooms, cleaning, etc.)

Scholarships are available for use. We encourage you to utilize this scholarship!

The Camp

East Bay is a United Methodist owned facility. In other words, this place is yours! The camp offers a great deal of sight seeing, seclusion, and spiritual whitespace. WIFI will be available. Accommodations are modern and up to date. Located on Lake Bloomington.

Car Pool

We will meet at GUMC to carpool at 4:30 pm on Friday. If you want to drive for the carpool, please let us know (ethan.carnes@gmail.com).

Worship Leader & Guest Speaker: The Rev. Sarah Beth Wanck.

Sarah is the church planter of 309 Church in Washington, IL. 309 is a church within a church focused at reaching the unchurched culture, especially millennials. Sarah is a gifted leadership coach. An Ordained Elder, Sarah is a recognized cross-conference leader with decades of ministry experience. Our leadership coaching & planning will church planning will be guided by Rev. Sarah.

Friday

4:30 PM- Leave GUMC for East Bay Camp (1 hour)

5:30 PM- Arrival Time/ Check-In/ Figure Out Rooms (Pilchard Hall)

5:45 PM- East Bay Staff Welcome/ Guest Speaker Introduction

6:00 PM- Dinner (Wesley Hall)

7:00 PM- Opening Worship (Pilchard Hall)

8:45 PM- Break

9:00 PM- Large Group Session 1

9:45 PM-Closing Devotion/ by camp fire

Saturday

6:30 AM- Morning campfire devotion/ Prayer Centering (Pilchard Hall)

7:00 AM- Breakfast & Free Time

8:00 AM- Large Group Session 2

10:00 AM- Leadership Development

12:00 PM- Lunch

12:45 PM- Large Group Session 3

2:45 PM- Large Group Discussion

3:30 PM- Free Time/ Explore Camp

4:30 PM- GUMC Leadership Planning w/ Pastor

5:30 PM- Closing Worship & Holy Communion

6:00 PM- Leave for Home
